In the valleys above Gstaad, we work with the master craftsmen who build the world’s finest alpine chalets. For us, they construct sauna lodges of infinite natural beauty.
Using larch from their forests in Saanenland, they bring an extraordinary precision and refinement to every joint and every perfectly matched finish. You can’t help but run your hand over the enhanced brushed grain of the larch walls.
Here the aesthetics are as considered as a functional element such as a door seal: efficient, perfect, complete. Choose a classic simple form or embellish with Swiss detailing – traditional window, shutters, carved wall detail, the choice is yours.

A Refined Finish
Made by the same craftsmen who build the chalets above Gstaad. They've spent their lives fitting timber to timber, door to frame, shutter to hinge, until nothing moves that shouldn't. That same hand brings the same standard to every joint in this lodge.
Timber
Larch, grown slow in the high pastures of Saanenland. Each timber brushed and matched by hand before it's set.
Swiss Precision
Made by the same craftsmen who build the chalets of Gstaad. The joints are cut once, fitted once, and they last.
Detail
Choose a clean, pared-back form or embellish with traditional Swiss detailing: shuttered windows, carved panels and hand-forged ironmongery.

The GSTAAD is available in various specifications. We start with the classic Shokk&Awe design, and build upon it with Swiss detailing.

Build & Process
Our team will meet with you to survey and define the design brief. Designs are then prepared for your approval. Each lodge is bespoke, built in Switzerland. Every piece is numbered and dismantled for transportation.
Delivered direct to site Shokk&Awe’s installation team will be there to rebuild the sauna lodge in your space as if it has been there for ever.
Size & Cost
Each sauna is unique but follows Shokk&Awe’s design and craft principles. We start with our classic 2.4m x 2.4m square sauna lodge which is ideal for 4 bathers but can seat 6 snugly. You can add on a changing room or increase the size to accommodate more people.
